Privacy Policy

Overview

Etsy Search - Real Results Finder ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps Etsy sellers and shoppers see how many search results on Etsy actually match their search phrase, by scanning multiple result pages. This policy explains what data the Extension does and does not collect.

What we do NOT collect

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Financial or payment information
• Health information
• Authentication credentials (passwords, PINs)
• Personal communications (emails, messages)
• Location data
• Browsing history outside of Etsy search pages
• Keystroke logging, mouse tracking, or other user-activity monitoring

What the Extension does

• Reads publicly visible Etsy search-results pages (etsy.com/search) that you are already viewing or that the Extension requests on your behalf while scanning, in order to count how many listings match your search phrase. This is limited to content already publicly visible on Etsy's own pages.
• Stores your Pro license status locally, using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This stays on your own device/browser profile and is never transmitted to us. It contains only: whether Pro is activated, and the license key you entered.
• Validates a license key against Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor) only when you choose to enter and activate a Pro license key. This sends the license key you typed to Lemon Squeezy's official license-validation API (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to confirm it's valid. We do not receive or store your payment details — those are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services

• Lemon Squeezy processes Pro purchases and license validation. See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment and license data.
• Etsy is the website the Extension reads publicly visible data from. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Etsy, Inc.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties, except as required to validate a Pro license key with Lemon Squeezy as described above. We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or determining creditworthiness.

Data retention

Your Pro license status is stored locally on your device for as long as the Extension remains installed, or until you uninstall it or clear your browser's extension data. We do not retain any copy of this data on our own servers.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
